Secondo alcune voci di corridoio, Facebook starebbe considerando di includere il gabling online con soldi veri nella propria piattaforma, ma solo in Regno Unito. Al momento sul sito di social networking più famoso del mondo per alcuni giochi e applicazioni viene utilizzata una valuta fittizia, i Facebook Credits. Si starebbe però prendendo in considerazione l’eventualità di sostituire a questi valute reali.

Addirittura entro il primo trimestre del 2012, potremmo vedere le porte di Facebook aprirsi al gioco d’azzardo online. La scorsa estate, a Palo Alto si sono svolti incontri introduttivi alla presenza di una ventina fra esperti di gaming, consulenti e imprenditori dell’industria del gioco, in seguito ai quali l’idea sta prendendo sempre più forma.
